¡Viva la Causa!

The !Viva la Causa! instillation is an ongoing project with the Cal Poly Creative Works team for the Robert E. Kennedy Library. In spring 2020, on the occasion of Huerta’s 90th birthday, the California State University Board of Trustees resolved that each of the 23 CSU campuses would pay tribute to Huerta's legacy for generations to come. Along with Catherine Trujillo, Solena organized and designed this exhibit that is still viewable today.

UPDATE:

In 2023, Dolores Huerta came to visit the exhibit and speak to the community in an event with over 600 in attendance.

Cal Poly honored Huerta through the installations of the ¡Viva La Causa! exhibit in the Library and University Union as well as establishing an annual service award.
