Material Storytelling

I work with thrifted materials shaped by past lives, and carry their history forward into new forms. By incorporating recognizable objects—such as hangers, place settings, nail polish, and clothing—I explore each material’s limitations and possibilities, inviting viewers to see them from a new perspective. When we acknowledge the beauty and complexity in the objects around us, we begin to care for them differently and understand that they, too, carry stories.
